The rapid growth of online transactions has brought convenience to economic activities; however, it has
also raised various legal and Sharia-related issues, particularly among students who lack sufficient
understanding of muamalah principles in Islam. In response to this issue, this Community Service Program
(Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat or PkM) aims to enhance students’ understanding of online transactions
from the perspective of Islamic law through legal counseling activities. The program was conducted at
Madrasah Aliyah Ittihadul Khoiriyah, targeting Madrasah Aliyah students as participants. The
implementation methods included interactive lectures, discussions, and Q&A sessions focusing on the
fundamental concepts of muamalah, the pillars and conditions for a valid akad (contract) in sales, and the
application of these principles in online transactions. The results showed a significant improvement in
participants’ understanding of contract validity, the importance of transaction object clarity, and awareness
of practices contrary to Islamic law, such as gharar (uncertainty) and fraud. Through this program, students
are expected to apply Islamic legal principles more wisely and responsibly in online transactions, in
accordance with Sharia values. This activity also reflects the role of higher education institutions in
promoting legal and religious literacy within secondary education environments.
