Pemanfaatan Lahan Sempit dan Revitalisasi Kampung Wisata Berseri Melalui Aquaponik dan UMKM Melek Teknologi

Abstract

The implementation of the Joint Community Service Program (KKN) in Kampung Wisata Berseri, Eka Jaya Village, Paal Merah Subdistrict, Jambi City focuses on utilizing limited land through an aquaponics system, empowering technology-literate SMEs, and educating the community about the environment and health. This program employs a qualitative descriptive method with a participatory approach (Participatory Action Research/PAR), directly involving the community in every stage of the activities. The results indicate that reviving aquaponics land not only supports food security but also serves as an educational tourism attraction based on community involvement. In the SME sector, digital marketing and product branding support has enhanced the competitiveness of local businesses. Meanwhile, educational boards on waste management and sugar levels in beverages have raised public awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and healthy living. Beyond the core programs, students actively participate in social, cultural, and religious activities, strengthening their bonds with the community. The synergy of these three main programs has yielded positive impacts, including increased productivity, environmental awareness, and strengthened local economies, while also serving as a tangible demonstration of students' contributions to supporting the development of an innovative, educational, and sustainable tourist village.
