About the Journal
Littera Legis: Journal of Law, Society, and Justice is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Gemini Littera Publishing, in collaboration with the Faculty of Sharia, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, and scholars from various universities scholars from various universities. The journal is dedicated to advancing critical and interdisciplinary legal scholarship that explores the interaction between legal texts, societal change, and the pursuit of justice. It publishes original research in law and society, legal pluralism, legal theory, justice reform, and socio-legal studies.
Current Issue
This inaugural issue of Littera Legis: Journal of Law, Society, and Justice (Vol. 1, No. 1, August 2025) features five scholarly articles by twelve Indonesian academics. The contributions cover interrelated themes in contemporary legal studies, highlighting the dynamic interactions between law, society, and justice, and critically examining the intersections of state legal frameworks with local practices and global developments. As its inaugural issue, it underscores the journal’s commitment to high-quality interdisciplinary research and to fostering dialogue on law and justice at local, national, and international levels.
