Author Guidelines

1. General Requirements

Manuscripts submitted to Decisio: Journal of Judicial Law and Procedure must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. The journal publishes scholarly works that demonstrate analytical rigor, originality, and contribution to legal studies.

All submissions must be made through the journal’s online submission system.

2. Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise academic English. Submissions in Bahasa Indonesia are accepted; however, priority is given to English manuscripts to support international readership.

3. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts:

  • Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Case Studies
  • Conceptual Papers

4. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  • Title (concise and informative)
  • Author(s) Name and Affiliation
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Research Method
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References

5. Formatting Requirements

  • Font: Garamond, 12 pt
  • Spacing: 1.5
  • Paper size: A4
  • Word count: maximum 7,000 words (including references)
  • Citation style: APA 7th Edition

References should be managed using reference tools such as Mendeley or Zotero.

6. Originality and Plagiarism

All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software.

  • The similarity index must not exceed 25%
  • Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and data fabrication are strictly prohibited

Manuscripts that violate ethical standards will be immediately rejected.

7. Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers
  • The review process typically takes 2–4 weeks
  • Editorial decisions include:
    • Accepted
    • Minor Revision
    • Major Revision
    • Rejected

8. Ethical Standards

This journal adheres to the ethical standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics.

Authors must:

  • Ensure originality
  • Properly cite all sources
  • Avoid duplicate submissions
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest

9. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

10. Article Processing Charges (APC)

This journal does not charge any submission or publication fees.

11. Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of data and arguments
  • Compliance with ethical standards
  • Timely revision of manuscripts
